Habitribu

Terms and conditions

Updated 1 September 2026.

This is what you and we agree to when you use Habitribu. It's written to be understood on the first read; if something isn't clear, write to us and we'll fix it.

Who can use it

An adult opens the account, and that adult is responsible for the household they create and the minors they add.

Minors don't open accounts themselves: the adult creates their access from inside the app.

By adding a minor you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian, or that you have permission from someone who is.

What the app does and doesn't do

Habitribu keeps track of chores, tokens, rewards and allowance within one household.

Tokens are an internal record, not money and not redeemable outside your household. They have no legal value and can't be transferred between families.

Allowance is not paid through the app: money never passes through us. The app records what was earned; you pay it outside.

We're a tool for getting organised. What each household agrees on, and whether it's honoured, is that household's business.

Payment

Every new household starts with seven days free, no card.

Prices are shown in US dollars. Payment is processed by Polar as merchant of record, and theirs is the name that appears on your bank statement.

The six-month, yearly and lifetime plans are a single payment for their period. The monthly plan renews each month until you cancel.

You can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for.

If access ends, the household becomes read-only. Nothing is deleted: the history, the tokens and the chores stay, and renewing brings it all back exactly as it was.

Reasonable use

Don't upload photos of people who don't live in your household, or anything illegal, offensive, or not yours to share.

Don't try to reach other families' data or push at the app's technical limits.

An account used to harm a minor is closed immediately and without refund.

Your data

What we store, for how long, and how it's deleted is in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

You can delete your entire account from Settings. It's immediate and can't be undone.

Warranties and liability

We do our best to keep the app available and working, but we can't guarantee it: it's software, and software breaks.

We're not liable for indirect losses arising from use of the app, nor for agreements between members of a family.

If something goes wrong through our fault, our maximum liability is what you paid over the last twelve months.

Changes

We may change these terms and the app. If a change genuinely affects you, we'll email you before it takes effect.

If you don't like a change you can delete your account; if you had paid in advance, we refund the unused part.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Chilean law, and any dispute goes to the courts of Santiago, Chile.

If you live in the European Union or the United Kingdom, this does not remove the consumer rights your own law gives you.
